I had spoken to two other advisers before coming to NZIHS. The assessment gave me a clear written picture of my options — including one pathway I hadn't considered. We lodged within three months.

Is the $250 fee refundable if I decide not to proceed? +
The $250 fee covers the preparation and delivery of your written Strategic Visa Assessment. This is a fixed professional service fee and is non-refundable. However, the full $250 is credited toward your professional fee if you engage NZIHS for full representation following the assessment.
How long does the assessment take to prepare? +
Following your booking and submission of the intake form, your assessment is typically delivered within 3–5 working days. Complex cases involving multiple visa categories or significant immigration history may require additional time, which we will advise upfront.
Who prepares the assessment — is it actually a licensed adviser? +
Yes. Every Strategic Visa Assessment is prepared and signed off by a Licensed Immigration Adviser (LIA) registered with the Immigration Advisers Authority. You will see the adviser's name and IAA licence number on your report. This is regulated immigration advice — not automated or template-generated.
What information do I need to provide to book? +
After booking, you'll complete a structured intake form covering your immigration history, current visa status, employment situation, qualifications, and the outcome you're seeking. You do not need to provide certified documents at this stage — caveats are noted where evidence verification remains outstanding.
I've already had advice elsewhere. Is this still useful? +
Yes — and it's one of the most common reasons people book. The assessment provides a structured second opinion based on current INZ instructions. It will identify whether prior advice aligns with current policy, flag any risks that may have been overlooked, and confirm or revise the recommended pathway.
Can I book an assessment for a family member or employee? +
Yes. Assessments can be booked on behalf of a family member, partner, or employee. The person being assessed will be named as the client on the engagement. Employers booking for a prospective hire or current staff member should contact us directly to discuss a suitable intake process.
What happens after I receive the assessment? +
Your written report is delivered via email. There is no obligation to proceed further. If you choose to engage NZIHS for full representation, the $250 is credited toward your service fee and we proceed to a formal engagement agreement. If you prefer to manage the application yourself, the report gives you the information to do so with confidence.
